The Specialized Roubaix provides you with the tools you need to explore the road less traveled, while keeping room in your wallet for a mid-ride brew. The light weight frame has been constructed from our FACT 9r carbon fiber. Its stiffness levels are also off the charts. The front end features Future Shock technology, which is a piston in the head tube with 20mm of travel. Specialized developed this technology in partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies, and the result of this are a host of drastic performance improvements, namely in the vertical compliance department. Specialized found that focusing on vertical compliance, instead of fork splay, meant that they could improve smoothness, speed, and comfort in one fell swoop. Lastly, the Roubaix comes equipped with hassle-free mechanical disc brakes that'll see you spending more time riding and zero time bleeding your brakes, a Shimano Tiagra drivetrain, and Axis Sport Disc wheels, ensuring that you'll keep rolling without trouble, mile after mile.
- The FACT 9r carbon frame has all of the road absorbing, engineered compliance that you'd expect from a bike born on the cobbles, yet its compact endurance race design provides all of the responsiveness and performance you need for long days in the saddle.
- FACT carbon fork is optimized for stiffness and responsive steering.
Shimano Tiagra shifting ensures reliable access to a wide range of gears.

sick price for an awesome bike. so light, so quick, so responsive, it really, really wants to run, sometimes i find myself almost consciously having to reign it in or it will almost run away right from under me. totally cruises up the steepest of hills, yet sprints down the straights like the sturdiest of champions. add the 105 derailleurs, which, again, give you all the giddyup you need and/or can handle, the carbon post and stays, zertz inserts, this is a beautiful bike, looks great, can compete with the best of what's usually out there on the road on any given day (if that's your thing), and as i say, an absolute steal at this price. an excellent value in a first rate bike.

1st Road bike in 20 years. This bike handled much better than the equal Trek model when test riding. I've really enjoyed the 200+ miles on it thus far and would recommend it to any one of size, I'm 6'5", 220lbs. Great components, the Shimano 105's are worth the upgrade if you're debating.

I had tested five other similar bicycles when I was also looking to purchase this bike. The big plus for me was the geometry and how I fit on the bike -- the Roubaix model is very comfortable. I have heard similar comments from other Roubaix owners about how it just fits them. I do 40-70 miles on a typical ride with this bike, and it is my legs that give out before my back. The courses I do vary from relative flat lands to difficult rolling hills, and my bike has not let me down. IMHO, this is a very solid bicycle and I am very glad to have purchased it.

Great bike. My second road bike and I love it. Gives a great ride, wish it absorbed the shock on the rough roads a little better. Fairly lightweight. Handles long rides well. Plan to upgrade the saddle but am still happy with the stock one. Of the 10 I tried it was by far the best. The only way to get a better ride would be to buy a higher class.

First road bike in 25 years. Great bike so far and after three 20 - 30 mile plus rides liking it even more. Seems to fit my 6'4" 52 year old frame well and is much easier on my bad knees than the old comfort bike. I was worried about getting a true road bike but this one works for me. Still trying to get my brain around the price... about four times as much as any bicycle I have purchased in the past.
