So this is the second Specialized Sirrus I have owned. I have found the newest one even lighter and more responsive than the previous one. Perfect for my daily commute or bombing around on the weekend. I really have found this a solid brand for year round commuting in Boston, MA. Super durable, super reliable. But, after 15K+ miles it was time for a new one and I decided to treat myself to the sport with the disk brakes. Wow, they are totally awesome. Highly recommended them. Knowing that you are going to stop if a door opens out of the blue is invaluable piece of mind.
This bike is light and comfortable to ride, and loaded with high quality components. The rapid fire shifters are quick and smooth. The lower gears make steep inclines a breeze. The disc brakes are amazing! I think I was most impressed by the build quality and attention to detail. The bike is a work of art to look at and a dream to ride.
